Tahoe Gets Blast of Incoming Wintry Weather

Tahoe is getting a blast of wintry weather this week, and the storms are bringing business to the Sierra.

It's been a bit of a surprise from the skies, rare April snowstorms blasting the Sierra with significant amounts of snow this week. April is typically when resorts are winding down for the ski and snowboard season, but Kirkwood will stay open through May first. Palisades Tahoe also continues to welcome visitors on their slopes, and in South Lake Tahoe this will be Heavenly's final weekend of their winter season. It's been a bit of a surprise from the skies rare April snowstorms leaving significant amounts of snow in the Sierra. Kirkwood Mountain Resort's Dennis Baggett says it's been a snowier April, than the first three months of 2022 combined.
