- Elon Musk is moving Tesla to Texas. Cheaper housing for its employees seems to be the main motivator in Tesla's announcement they're packing up and moving their headquarters to Austin, Texas. Barry Broome of The Greater Sacramento Economic Council says it's not a good sign for California.
- Thousands of PG&E customers are in the dark this morning as power shut offs continue due to critical fire weather. The utility's latest public safety power shutoff is impacting 25,000 homes and businesses across portions of over 20 counties. PG&E's Megan McFarland says customers should have power as early as this afternoon.
- Jon Gruden is out as head coach of the Las Vegas Raiders. Gruden resigned Monday. The New York Times reported that the 58-year-old Gruden used a homophobic slur to describe NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell and denigrated a team's decision to draft an openly gay player. Those revelations followed a Wall Street Journal report on Friday that Gruden used a racist trope to describe NFL Players' Association Executive Director DeMaurice Smith. Gruden sent the emails from 2011 to 2018 when he worked as a broadcaster for ESPN.
