One man is dead in what police are calling an early-morning homicide in South Sacramento.
A man was found on the ground with multiple gunshot wounds in front of a home in the 51-hundred block of Ehrhardt Avenue near Franklin Boulevard.
Sacramento Police Officer Linda Matthew says homicide invesigators and a CSI team are on the scene.
The shooting happened shortly after 3 o'clock this morning. There were no witnesses, although people did report hearing two gunshots.
The victim's name has not been released. Police say traffic on Ehrhardt will be shut down for most of the morning due to the on-going investigation.
