El Dorado County Sheriff's investigators say the man wanted for a deadly stabbing is under arrest. Authorities say 24-year-old Bernardo Castillo was apprehended early this morning in El Centro in southern California.

Castillo allegedly stabbed 49-year-old Silvia Castillo of Placerville and a four-year-old girl. The attack allegedly happened at a home on Newtown Road in Placerville on Tuesday. Silvia Castillo died but the little girl survived.
Investigators say Bernardo Castillo is related to both victims, but a motive for the stabbing is not clear.
