People packed the streets and rooftops in downtown Sacramento for the flyover of the space shuttle Endeavour on Friday morning. They waited for upwards of two hours to see the retiring shuttle before it goes on display at a science museum in the Los Angeles area.
And, when Endeavour passed overhead, the crowd cheered like it was the fourth quarter of the Super Bowl, and it felt like you could reach out and touch the shuttle as it rode piggyback on the 747 transport.
Many in the crowd said it was an experience of a lifetime.
