Area health care institutions are teaming with local schools to improve concussion care management for Sacramento's student athletes. Play it Safe has developed a concussion care program focusing on identification and management of sports related concussion injuries while providing youth athletes with increased access to medical services and excess insurance coverage.

John F. Kennedy High School is the latest Sacramento school to join the program which is paid for through a $5 fee assessed to each athlete as part of their sign up cost.
