Some people worry about Barack Obama consolidating power and eroding our freedoms. Others suspect Vladimir Putin will re tool the Big Red Machine and that a commie comeback is only a matter of time. Then there are those pesky Chinese, the worlds contradiction in terms - communists turned capitalists who,…with a billion worker bees, make a mockery of U-S labor costs…and clean our clocks by turning out legitimate goods cheaper and counterfit goods…at a fraction of the cost---and if that’s not enough, the Chinese finance ministry…or whatever China’s equivalent of the Fed is called..is going after our treasury bonds…like Donald Trump playing Monopoly with a gang of first graders.

Sure, we’ll have to keep an eye on those international wise guys..but the real race to take over the world is being waged right here….It’s Apple versus Wal Mart. I’m pretty sure there are high schoolers in Tibet and Homeless people in Cleveland…who wouldn’t be without an I phone or I pad or I this or that….and every time I turn around…for better or worse…Wal Mart is in the News….usually for trying to conquer some sort of market niche…The chains buying power keeps prices low…and even though the target market looks to be size 20 housewives wearing size 4 clothes…Wal Mart’s expansion into the Grocery business…is even attracting the Nordstrom bunch…

And right here in Citrus Heights Wal Mart is making news…not long ago…a clerk working the overnight shift…found a charming little book…it contained 157 handwritten rules to live by…written a kid….things like…don’t talk back…don’t be gross….don’t bite the dentist…eat before you go to the dentist..presumably so your not so hungry you bite the tooth fixer…well the clerk-with help from the media tracked the girls down.
