This Sunday as "CBS Sports" brings national coverage of "The Wells Fargo Championship," the network will offer a feature story about a good friend of KFBK, he on "The Golf and Grape Guys" show with my partner, Ed Crane. Will Robbins is certainly not the first pro golfer to turn from playing-for-a-living -- to teaching the game of golf, but how he came to that career change is nothing short of a miracle.
Will joined us this morning to tell us his story of how he and his wife were on their honeymoon in Indonesia in 2004. Yes, that's when the horrific tsunami that killed 250,000 people hit. Will and his wife survived being pummeled by the ocean as it completely tore apart the hotel they were staying in, and although they were injured, they both recovered from their wounds and now have a beautiful baby girl, Madeline, to hold in their arms. Will is now one of the most highly regarded golf instructors in Northern California and joins Ed every Sunday afternoon at 1pm for "The Golf and Grape Guys" on KFBK.
Here now is a very funny video Will made to promote himself as a golf instructor:
