I got an update from my Facebook friend Karen McKee on those two boys hit by an alleged drunk driver last Friday morning, and I wanted to pass it on to you:

"Hi Amy, I wanted to let you know about the Perez boys hit by the drunk lady last week. Juan was released from the hospital. Henry, the 6-year-old remains in critical condition in the ICU. There will be a car wash at Skycrest Elementary this Saturday, October 13th from 9 am to 3 pm. The address is 5641 Mariposa Ave Citrus Heights 95610. We hope many people can make it out to hel p raise funds for this family. There are outrageous medical bills as well as the day to day needs (food, gas to get back and forth to the hospital, etc.)

There is also a bank account set up in their name at Chase Bank. Thank you so much for letting me post this. These boys and the family are very sweet. They really need all of the help they can get.

I hope you can go out to the car wash, but if you can't, maybe you can donate to their account with Chase.
