A New York City homeless man who was photographed as he received a gift of boots from an New York City police officer is back on the streets with no shoes. The New York Times found him last night, wandering barefoot in Manhattan. When he was asked about the all-weather boots the police officer gave him last month, Jeffrey Hillman said he's hidden them because ``they are worth a lot of money.'' And he says he wants ``a piece of the pie'' from all of the attention the photo has received -- because he says it was posted online ``without permission.''

The picture of the officer and shoeless man went viral...and many were touched by the officer's kindness. So why did the homeless man reject the gesture?
