  1. A new California law will prevent the Shasta County Board of Supervisors from hand-counting ballots for the upcoming special election. The law bars the hand-counting of ballots. Shasta County leaders voted to break it's contract with Dominion Voting Systems following claims by former President Trump that the machines aided in the stealing of the 2020 election.   2. More than three hundred ethnic studies professors across the U.C. campuses are calling on the University of California system to stop calling the attacks on Israel citizens "terrorism." The University of California Ethnic Studies Faculty Council has sent a letter to the U.C. regents saying the use of the terms "terrorism" and "unprovoked" have stoked anti-Muslim sentiments and "made Palestinian students and community members unsafe."   3. The union behind CSU faculty members is voting to authorize a strike. No official declaration of a strike has been set, but the group is one step closer to hitting the picket line. Click here to read more.
  4. The Sacramento Kings confirm this morning that all-star point guard De'Aaron Fox will be out for the next Kings game against the Warriors on Wednesday night in San Francisco.
