- A bill that is heading to Governor Newsom's desk would ask judges to consider a parent's affirmation of their child's gender while disputing custody cases. For these cases, if parents don't agree the judge will intervene, and weigh a variety of factors. - The majority of Californian's oppose reparations. According to a new study by the UC Berkeley Institute of Governmental Studies, 59% oppose it, and 29%support it. Four in ten say they "strongly" oppose it. The task force studying the issue released its report suggesting qualifying Black residents get up to one-million dollars in cash, and other benefits. - Today is the 22nd anniversary of the September 11th terrorist attacks. At Cal Expo the September 11 Memorial Plaza will be open Monday from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. A ceremony will also highlight the end of 9/11 rescue and recovery efforts. In Folsom, The Folsom fire and police departments will gather around 8:45 a.m. at Folsom City Lions Park and Sacramento Metro firefighters and Sacramento Stand Down will honor Flight 175 and other victims of the 9/11 attacks at the Ardent Little League field on Easter Avenue in Sacramento.
