This Expedia Report says millenials--age 18-to-30 are travelling more and using technology to book reservations. Both are good news for Sacramento, according to Mike Testa with the Convention and Visitors Bureau,
"An infusion of the younger generation coming in is kind of natural, and I do think that Sacramento is seeing a bit more of that partially because of what's going on, and partially because of how we're contacting them."
Testa says their cyber-space efforts are beginning to pay off in generating excitement about what's going on in Sacramento, and enticing new sophisticated travellers to be apart of a city on the move.
"It's using social media and using different types of communications to reach new customers."
He goes on to say that millenials will discover a lot to explore in the region,
"It is quickly becoming something of a destination, especially for the younger folks because they see the change, and they see the progress, and they want to be a part of that."
Employers have plenty to enjoy about the mobile millenials as well. The Expedia Future of Travel Study finds employees work more when they travel than they do at the office.
