Occupancy rates at Sacramento-area hotels are on the rise. The latest figures from the convention and visitors bureau show more than one-million people are coming to town on a monthly basis...filling up properties to 70-percent capacity. It's great news for local shops and restaurants around town. Consulting firm PKF says room rates in Sacramento have climbed four percent over last year. Things are even better in San Francisco, where the average cost for a one-night stay is $215.
