Your Sacramento-area home is worth considerably more now thanks to a big rebound in prices during the spring.
The CoreLogic Case-Schiller home price index shows Sacramento prices went up about 25 percent during the early months of this year compared to the same period last year.
That is the biggest increase in average home prices of any housing market in the country. Las Vegas comes in a number two on the Case-Schiller list.
It's not unexpected for Sacramento to do so well, since cities hit the hardest by the housing crash are expected to show the biggest rebound.
