Spokeswoman Christina Arechiga said families of those killed by law enforcement officials are gathering at Sacramento's Federal Courthouse this evening to remember,
"Michael Nida II, and their family will be joining us, so we'll be holding a candlelight vigil in his memory."
Nida's family received a $4.5 million dollar settlement from the 2011 shooting, but Arechiga says they'll be in town tomorrow for the 18th annual "National Day Against Police Brutality:"
"We'll be having a rally, a march, a demonstration, and during that whole day we'll be having lobbying, families going in and out of the capitol to meet with their lawmakers..."
Arechiga says the families are looking for accountability.
Other rallies and protests are scheuduled across the country.
