Our state's health insurance exchange is running fine today but it was shut down over the weekend so the IT folks could go in and make more upgrades, the same kind of thing that happened just a few days after launch. Spokesman Dana Howard says some parts are working properly,
"What is working is the shopping and comparison of the health plans..."
...what's not working is the doctor directory according to Howard.
It was taken down last week after some doctors were listed for specialities that they don't even practice.
The natural curiosityi is what those at Covered California think of all the problems nationally?
"It is a huge task."
Howard says he commends the feds for what they've been able to accomplish so far.
