Cindy Sheehan says she's running for governor of California. She made her announcement today on the state capital steps this morning during a rally to protest Gov. Jerry Brown's plan to expand the state's prison capacity. Sheehan rode her bicycle to the capital from her home in Davis to make the announcement, and says she will be a candidate for the Peace and Freedom Party. Sheehan garnered national attention as an anti-war activist after her son was killed in the Iraq war in 2005.
