CALIFORNIA-- In a matter of weeks the enrollment period will begin for California's new health insurance exchange, but most of us have no idea how it's going to work.
Results of the latest Field Poll on the Affordable Care Act and it's California branch, Covered California, make it clear that most people are not clear what this health insurance exchange means for them.
Mark DiCamillo with the Field Poll says three-quarters of people under 65 who took part in the survey say they little or nothing about the exchange. That's a potential problem, since those people are expected to be the primary customers. Officials with Covered California say they plan a media blitz, but not until the start of September.
"There's a lot of work ahead for Covered California to make itself better known to the overall population," DiCamillo said.
